Sonya Mauzey
Sonya Mauzey is the Infection Preventionist for The Women's Hospital in Newburgh Indiana where she is responsible for the infection prevention program and employee health. She has an associate degree in nursing and bachelors in health services with focus in Public Health/Disease Control. She has been an active member of APIC since 1996 and board certified (CIC) for 13 years. She currently serves on the board of Directors for APIC Indi-ana Chapter.
Roy Chemaly, MD, MPH, FACP,FIDSA
Dr Chemaly is an associate professor of medicine in the Department of Infectious Dis-eases, Infection Control & Employee Health at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. In addition to Dr. Chemaly's clinical research work in virol-ogy and multi-drug resistant organisms, he is the director of the Infection Control sec-tion at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He also serves on many institutional committees, including the Infection Control Committee as the chair, Institutional Review Board as a vice chair, Intensive Care Subcommittee, and the Patient Safety Committee. Dr. Che-maly also heads the Viral Protection Ad Hoc Infection Control Subcommittee as well as the Clinical Virology Research Program in the Department of Infectious Diseases as Director. Dr. Chemaly's work has been reported in numerous presentations and peer-reviewed journals and he is a reviewer for many high-impact journals. He was elected recently as a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

Bruce I. Petrie, Jr. Esq.
Bruce I. Petrie Jr is a member of Graydon Head Firm's Labor & Employment Group and Chair of the Firm's Health, Education & Public Sector Group. Some of the areas that he assists with day-to-day advice and counsel are ; human resources, labor and employ-ment, representation of hospitals, physicians and dentists, and health care law. Bruce is lead author of a new book Healthcare Labor and Employment Practice Guide published by American Health Lawyers Association in 2010.
Julie R. Pugh Esq.
Julie R. Pugh practices in The Graydon Head Law Firm's Labor & Employment Client Services Department. Her practice focuses in the labor and employment areas, includ-ing employment litigation and dispute resolution. Her areas of focus are alternate dis-pute resolution, employment litigation & dispute resolution, ERISA litigation & dispute resolution and HR counseling.
Terry Whitson
Terry Whitson serves as Assistant State Health Commissioner for the Indiana State De-partment of Health. His Commission is responsible for the licensing and certification of health care facilities in Indiana. He also directs state healthcare quality improvement initiatives such as the Indiana Healthcare Associated Infection Initiative.
Shannon Millay
Shannon Millay is the Healthcare Associated Infections Epidemiologist at the Indiana State Department of Health. She has a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's degree in public health. She is currently working on the ISDH HAI Initiative, focusing on catheter-associated urinary tract infections and Clostridium difficile.
Cathie Pritchard LPN, RHIT
Cathie Pritchard, is currently a quality data reporting technologist for the hospital setting at the Medicare QIO for Indiana. She has been an LPN for 30 years and has been employed with HCE for 23 years. Ms. Pritchard extensively works with the hospitals in the state assisting with data collection and validation, analysis, and process improvement efforts. She is a key point-of-contact for hospitals and pro-vides ongoing statewide education related to these topics in meeting the needs of the hospitals. As a result, Indiana hospitals have achieved excellent passing scores, based on CMS's current evaluation criteria for QIOs.
